SQL Database Administrator

The SQL Database Administrator will oversee our clients’ database landscape, encompassing on-premises and cloud platforms. This role is pivotal in orchestrating migrations, integrations, and transformations. The incumbent will lead both SQL database and applications teams, driving the adoption of SaaS-based technology when applicable.

As a SQL Database Administrator at digx, you will:

Manage and maintain SQL databases across diverse platforms, ensuring optimal performance, integrity, and security.
Collaborate in the planning and execution of migrations, integrations, and transformations, facilitating seamless transitions between on-premise and cloud environments.
Lead and mentor teams responsible for SQL solutions, providing guidance in SQL query writing and utilising scripting languages like PowerShell for deployment automation.
Actively participate in the strategic implementation of SaaS solutions, leveraging innovative technologies to enhance database functionality.
Engage in the planning and development of the database infrastructure, contributing expertise in troubleshooting and issue resolution for end-users.

The experience we're looking for:

Proven expertise in SQL solutions implementation and support.
Proficiency in writing SQL queries and familiarity with scripting languages such as PowerShell for deployment automation.
Strong grasp of database performance tuning, integrity, and security principles.
Experience with migrations, integrations, and transformations across varied platforms (on-premise and cloud).
Leadership skills to manage and guide teams effectively.
Prior exposure to SaaS-based technology integration is advantageous.
Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities.
